Root Canal Treatment

When the tissue inside a tooth is inflamed or infected, endodontic treatment may be used in suitable cases with the aim of retaining the tooth. Before treatment, oral condition, available imaging, general health and expectations are reviewed. Additional radiographic or clinical examinations may be requested when needed. The definitive plan, timeline and materials are determined after examination. As with any medical procedure, individual risks and alternatives should be discussed with the clinician.
